searching the artsouthwa database
To search the artsouth
wa
database, click the "Search" tab at the top of the page. Enter the criteria by which you wish to search the database into the displayed form. Only the entries that match ALL of the criteria that you specify will be reported.
For example, to find all the individuals or companies starting with 'F' who are located in Albany and have a sample photo available, set Entry type
to "Individual", Name
to "F", Town
to "Albany", and Sample photo
to "Yes".
Note that you do not have to specify the entire name, town or postcode for which you are searching. Simply specify enough of them to obtain the entries that you are seeking. For example, "Alb" will probably be sufficient for "Albany". Leave the criterion blank if you do not want it to affect the search.
If you specify an artform category, only individual artists and companies will be reported - galleries and associations are not categorised by artform in the database.
The results of the search will be displayed in a list at the bottom of the search page. The name, address and telephone number will be reported for each entry that satisfies the search criteria. The name is automatically linked to the details page for the relevant artist, gallery or association.
