I am a self-taught watercolourist living and working in Denmark, Western Australia. A founding member of the Botanical Artists Group (BAG), my work appears in "Brush with Gondwana" (FAP), alongside of the other 6 members of the group. I am keenly interested in preserving and documenting the local flora and its habitat.
Work Overview
Botanical Art
My art ranges from detailed and accurate botanical watercolours, to quirky interpretations of insects and other creepy-crawlies. I paint with a dry-brush technique on 350gsm Arches acid-free paper, applying the paint straight on to the paper with no initial pencil preparation. My art is represented in numerous private collections in Australia and overseas, and annually on the Southern Art and Craft Trail.
